According to Capitals Insider, Alexander Semin will not play in tonights season opener against Atlanta. Semin suffered a sprained ankle in a preseason game. The injury is apparently not serious and he is listed as day to day.
In other Organization news, the Hershey Bears sent RW Stephen Werner, D Patrick McNeil, and RW Steve Pinizzotto to the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL. They will join fellow Caps prospect C Travis Morin who was sent down earlier.
