Preview:
The Caps won an overtime thriller against Carolina last night at the same time the Flyers lost to Ottawa 4-2. The Caps have 30 active players still in training camp; 2 goalies, 10 defensemen, and 18 forwards. Head Coach Glen Hanlon has made the games the main focus of evaluation this preseason. The Caps have been very competitive with each of the four preseason games being decided by one goal. Between now and September 30, will be crucial for the players on the bubble. The Coach still needs to make at least 7 cuts. It’s getting down to crunch time but all and all the team appears to be much more competitive this season.
