The Capitals take on the Canes in their first preseason game tonight. It is show time for the young defenders on the Caps squad. Each of the eight guys slated for defensive duty in tonight’s game (only 6 will dress) has something to prove to the coaching staff. Some trying to prove they belong and other that they should remain with the big club. Look for this game to be high on defense and quite physical as the teams will battle again tomorrow night in Washington.
