Preview:
The Caps regained their winning ways on Wednesday with a victory over the Atlanta Thrashers but they face a much better Montreal Canadians team tonight at the Phone Both. The Caps are still riddled with injuries and may be without the services of Tom Poti due to a groin injury. Look for the Capitals to use their offense to pressure the Canadians and keep the puck out of the defensive zone. Watch Alex Ovechkin who is on a 9 game points scoring streak and will be looking to take control of the game. In the last meeting between the two teams, Ovechkin broke his nose and went on to score 4 goals including the overtime game-winner. This should be a high paced extremely competitive game with the Caps pulling out a close one.
Joe’s prediction: Caps 4 MON 2
