Preview:
The Caps put a good licking on the Anaheim Ducks last night but they paid a heavy price. Defensemen Mike Green left the game with a shoulder injury and is questionable for tonight’s game in LA. The Kings have not played since Sunday and should be rested for the match up. Look for the Caps to take the direct approach with the puck and try to bury the Kings early. If the Caps let them in the game then it will be a tough night. Watch for the secondary scoring to be the key. If the third and fourth lines are as effective as last night then the Kings cannot focus on stopping the top line and that bodes well for the Caps. Even with the injuries, the Caps outmatch the Kings and this game is a should-win for them. Now they have to do it.
Joe’s prediction: Caps 5 LA 1
