The Capitals have elected to buy out the final year of Ben Clymer's contract. Clymer was set to make $1,100,000 this season. He spent the entire 2007-08 season on the roster of the Cap's AHL affiliate Hershey Bears. Clymer began his career with the Capitals in 2005 when he signed as a free agent.
